DIRG (Doing International Relations and Geography) is the Graduate Student Association for the International Relations and Geography Department of Florida International University
Our Mission is academic and community oriented. Our organization seeks to provide opportunities for graduate students to enhance their academic and professional pursuits, while considering the needs of the Miami-Dade community.
We seek to engage scholars throughout the social sciences, both within and outside the University that will contribute to the strengthening of the academic and professional environment of the Department of International Relations and Geography.
We pursue opportunities for our members to develop their research interests through the promotion of academic and social events that simultaneously enhance the skills of graduate students and enrich the greater community.
Fundamentally, the goal of DIRG is to create a space for our graduate student members to build their credentials as they pursue research and career opportunities, while concurrently building and maintaining a prosperous relationship with the community of Miami-Dade County.
